Let's see how many of the stoner brotherhood we can gather...
JOIN US!! or fucking die
Love you all!!
STOP BEING MAD AT US AND JUST LOVE US AGAIN
Finally, something that I'm sure Cheeto hasn't posted on his blog. This time, an Argentinean completetly unknown band.
Last weekend, I have the fortune to be in the Mudhoney show here in Bs As, an overwhelming show indeed, I recommed to any of you my gnomies to check them out, they fucking rule, and they are over 40, fuck man! I wish I could be like them when I were 40...anyway, this postg it's not to talk about my wishes, but to talk about this great Argentinean that came to my mind when they opened the show, along with Los Natas.
Well, It's been a while.....this fucking financial crisis is taking me away so much time, but I can't leave the "Familia" (Cheeto®). The brand New Nebula EP, It is not "just another nebula EP", it`s very rare if you ask me, too much voice effects, delays, sampling, chorus like I've never heard in Nebula before...anyway, It's a nice, short, but nice EP to remind us that there is people still believe in science.
Some of you might dig this one, If you are like me, then you won't...I don't know why I'm posting this, maybe because is only 25MB, a fast upload may I say..anyway, there you have your preview... no tracklist either......
We are back man! we are fucking back!
Speaking about Lanegan, this is his best album I believe, not as quiet as the rest of his solo carreer, and certanly, lot of QOTSA influences, specially on 4th track, can you hear a Homme touch there? realy nice album, get it.
Produced and mixed by Josh Homme & Alan Johannes, this belgium band will surprise you, though, too much sampling for me, but you can actually feel Homme presence here.
All right, let's begin with the story behind this track..... back in time in 2002, when this was released in the US, but not yet released in Argentina by Sony, I guess they printed a month later than the official world release date in Argentina, so it was nearly impossible to get this imported and too fucking expensive, so we had to wait to the local print, (which always sounds in lower quality than the American editions) but speaking of QOTSA's, they always add a bonus track, in this case The Kinks cover "Everybody is gonna be happy", so far so good. The thing goes like this... since I couldn't wait for the local edition, and even less pay for an import album, bear in mind that in those days Internet wasn't what it is today, imagine that in
Well, for my surprise I found a copy of this record in a "street records store" AKA a person who sells home-burned CDs and movies in the street...really unusual for this type of music, anyway the more surprising thing was that it was even before the world release..
Eventually, a month later I get an official copy, but there were some differences, in sound and about this track that wasn't listed... some days ago I went to a friends house who had a pirated copy bought on the street like a year ago in a very different place where it bought it....and guess what, it has this song right between tracks 9 & 10, so thinking, I'm pretty sure that most of the pirate copies distributed in Argentina came from a Master tape who slipped in hands of someone who made a copy for this pirates to distribute, believe me, this kind of business is conducted like a mafia, so if I guess right, that song was on the master tape sent by Interscope to Argentinean editors and went to someone that made circulate a copy even before the printings.
Speaking about the song, I'm pretty sure that is Mark Lenegan voice, and absolutely sure that is a Dave Groll's drumming....I never found this song in any compilation of B sides or whatsoever, did some research on Lenegan's stuff, but i found nothing till now...
Have you ever heard this song before?
This last release finds Sahg closer to a 70's hard rock revival than a propper Norweagn Doom band, some reminences to "Black Sabath" that could be interesting sometimes specially on #6 Pyromancer...but to be honest..I don't dig this at all...., nevertheless, I share it.
Our Man BJ sent me this one to share with you, and now I know I should have posted this before, but It's never too late, you may ask what's this, well this is a hell of a record, very alike "Tempel" but what I found here is a grooviest sound like i never heard from CH, and is very smooth....another record to listen "in the propper state of mind"
+
The first all in one, Nick Olivieri's Demolition Day EP & Mondo Generator III EP, because my Gomies deserve all.
I choose this one because of Cream Abdul Babar tracks. It's way more than a funny name band, the Kylesa part it's Ok also, but I' ve found more rewarding the first one. This is definitely worth grabbing for fans of off-the-beaten-path heavy. You won't be disappointed

Anther GOME exclusive, it's getting very hard to find something that hasn't benn posted from the "brotherhood" before... so here it is, the Brand new Mudhoney's, don't spect to find anything new here, yet it's pretty interesting to have a look....
Today, a GOME exclusive, the brand new Brother Brant release, a more direct and fat crunchy rock album, according his own words, an indeed, it sounds alittle harder than the previous "Somera Sol", closer to "Che" project sometimes, so here it is...no need of preview, its brother Brant man!!
Well, there is not much to say about this band of Texas, a sometimes particular sound and original also, but without moving aside too much from the Southern rock we are used to ,yet another band, check the preview for details.
Well, it's been a while since a 5ive record, after mighty Continuous Project, they came out with this masterpiece of instrumental music, very heavy and dense guitars, as well as mellow tones, especially in the last 2 tracks called News, well, the preview speaks for itself.
I thought I was the only one Argentinean who knew and enjoys the mighty YAWNING MAN, well, after hearing this, I do know I'm not alone now.....what this guys pulled is an overwhelming records, with a sound engineering amazingly great for a band of this kind..
The "other" Argentinean band from the small Argentina's stoner scene, Buffalo, with the former Los Natas's bass player (who plays guitar here). Their second release bring us a more powerful and volatile album, if you are looking for a new sound, you won't find it here, but it's always interesting to hear some Spanish singing rock. The overall production is quite excellent as well.
