THE BLACK CROWES - 8/13/08 - WICHITA, KS (2008)

I caught this show last summer with nate.tron (of the JAKE LEE DILEMMA), and it was a highlight of the summer concert season. To those of you who might've been turned off by the CROWES' previous hit-heavy tours, this jam should win you back over. Hell, I love "My Morning Song" as much as anyone, but I've heard it performed numerous times. In its place, the Wichita crowd was treated to a 12-minute jam of "Nebakanezer". This set features lots of stretched out jamming, which I think will appeal to the G.O.M.E. Faithful.

Soundboard recording.

Also - if you ever find yourself in Wichita, make sure you see what's going down at the Cotillion Ballroom. It's one of the coolest and most unique venues I've been to. The acoustics are fantastic, the staff is cool, and the drinks are priced right.

Mighty Matias -- I thought you might dig this one, man, with all the spaced out jamming and cool lead work from Luther Dickinson. I've been checking out some more of his stuff with North Mississippi Allstars. He's a beast, man. Probably better than Marc Ford, of whom I've been a long-time fan. It's a good boot to throw on and zone out.

OUTSTANDING !!!

What a great show. It is nice to see some respect being shown for these cats, for whom I have been a fan of since I first heard them. I have quite a collection of Crowes boots myself, and would like to ask you if you can or would consider doing a repost of this in a lossless format like FLAC or SHN. (Assuming of course you have the original Silvers)

Thanks, your site is awesome!
