MASTER OF REALITY - SUNRISE ON SUFFERBUS (1992)****BY REQUEST****

Our regs. Scooby Doom has requested this one some time ago, well, I got to say that this is not my favorite one, yet, it get’s interesting when trying to find some roots of the QOTSA latest sound, some well furnished vocals and some country influence it’s what I found here, plus it’s multiplicity of textures makes this album a little tricky to hear, but if you are used to M.O.R., there is nothing to worry about. This was recorded with the Legendary Crem Drummer, Mr. Baker. Cheers

MASTERS OF REALITY - GIVE US BARABBAS (2004) ***BY REQUEST***

Our main man Peluka requested this one, so G.O.M.E. had to deliver. I'm willing to wager that just about anyone who stumbles across G.O.M.E. is familiar with Chris Goss and MASTERS OF REALITY, though this most recent release is increasingly hard to find, and often carries a hefty price tag. This album threw many fans for the proverbial loop upon its release. While Goss has never hid his BEATLES influence, he's always balanced it out with some crunchy SAB-style riffing. Well, Give Us Barabbas is more Lennon than Iommi. Goss even pays tribute to his late hero with a cover of Lennon's bluesy "It's So Hard". These songs weren't intended to be a cohesive album (most of these songs are simply unreleased tracks recorded over a period of years), yet it works exactly as such. Listen for Scott Weiland's vocals on "Jindalee, Jindalie", as well as some special guest drumming by former MASTERS member Ginger Baker.

1. The Ballad of Jody Frosty
2. Voice and the Vision
3. I Walk Beside Your Love
4. Bela Alef Rose
5. Brown House on the Green Road
6. Hey Diana
7. Still on the Hill
8. The Desert Song
9. Off to Tiki Ti
10. It's So Hard
11. Jindalee, Jindalie
12. Don't Get Caught by the Huntsman's Bow

MASTERS OF REALITY - DEEP IN THE HOLE (2001) ***COMPLIMENTS OF MATIAS***

Straight from our main man Matias, here's what I think is the best MASTERS OF REALITY album, Deep in the Hole. Chris Goss is a visionary, not just in his compositions, but the way his records sound (check your KYUSS collection for proof). Backed by Josh Homme and Nick Oliveri, this is Goss' finest hour. The curmudgeons rattled by Era Vulgaris and Give Us Barabbas will find their rock fix in "A Wish for a Fish" and "High Noon Amsterdam". Those who love Barabbas will find their own treasures in this rarity, particularly "Counting Horses" and "Roof of the Shed". Throw Mark Lanegan in the mix, and the result is not only Chris Goss' greatest project, but one of the greatest rock & roll albums of all time.

1. Third Man on the Moon
2. A Wish for a Fish
3. Counting Horses
4. Major Lance
5. Scatagoria
6. High Noon Amsterdam
7. Corpus Scorpios Electrified
8. Deep in the Hole
9. Roof of the Shed
10. Shotgun Sun
